A cool day. I took my 7-year old son to meet an 11-year old computer programming whizzkid… in 2 hours they built a car racing game together. It was amazing to behold. The whizzkid’s dad is going to play some clarinet on So Long which is fantastic news for us, as he is a wonderful musician and person.

Maurice made some changes to the track Time To Fly which is the last one to be completed lyrically. I love where he has taken it. Its a song for people who struggle with depression, with things that seem insurmountable… and breathes hope into darkness as each verse moves into the chorus. We feel it is going to be a pretty epic tune. Let’s see.

On the way home from the programming session, we drove home via a lovely little cafĂ© in East Dulwich called “Captured on the Rye”. I can only describe it as “crow paradise”. The artist who ran the place was really into crows and had created a load of lampshades, mugs, T-shirts and stuff with a very lovely crow print. Behold, my new lampshade for the studio:
