Woo-Hoo!!! My Innerclock Systems Sync Gen II Pro arrived today. Its sole job is to lock all my vintage drum machines to Logic, and it really means I can now start the process of recording properly.
Early tests worked brilliantly, and I’ve been in touch with the guy who makes them – David Lackey – down in Australia. He seems very cool indeed… a man obsessed with timing who is devoting huge amounts of energy to making it happen for vintage geeks like me.
No more ludicrous tempos like Champagne Dividend (69.2205) – caused by recording the analogue machine first and then making Logic set the tempo to that… joy!
