One look at this funky little machine and you just want to play with it. A total future classic. AIR used it all over their fantastic record “10000Hz Legend” with some ninja programming by Nicolas Godin. It has a really good punchy sound, and is a lot of fun.
Steve: “In the end I only used this on one track (Champagne Dividend) but without it I doubt I could have got the groove I was looking for. One of the delights of the Electribe is being able to add a couple of effects and tweak in real time while recording your changes. That’s exactly what I did to pitch the hi-hats down and alter the snare length during the track. Leo cut the part up and put it through a pitch shifter during mixing, so we ended up with a whole palette of sounds from this one little machine. Awesome.”
