I bought the Juno well before the boom in analogue synths. It arrived at our house in West London in an original Roland flight case, in absolutely flawless condition. I mean it looked like it was brand new… and when I heard the sounds it could make, well, I was utterly smitten.
It is a dream machine, capable of producing everything from thunderous basslines to lush pads, wobbly funky organ sounds, brass, sparkly stuff, stabs, searing leads. Just stunning. They are still quite affordable compared to the likes of the Jupiter series, but in my book sound almost as good and are a lot less of a headache to look after.
